Software Developer

Full Remote (Head office is in Swansea)

£30,000-£38,000

We are looking for a .NET developer to join our development team to help with current and future projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to deliver high quality software which satisfies business needs and requirements through the utilisation of modern software development practices and techniques. They will be an effective communicator to technical and non-technical audiences with excellent organisational skills and ability to manage your own workload effectively. A highly motivated individual who is able to work as part of an agile team with a willingness to collaborate and contribute new ideas to drive continuous improvement and good analytic skills to solve problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop high quality software through following clean coding practices to produce efficient, unit testable code
  • Help enforce quality standards through peer reviews and team retrospectives
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members to shape and deliver required functionality
  • Participate and contribute in SCRUM ceremonies to help drive continuous improvement with the development team
  • Manage tasks effectively and accurately estimate, track and report on status of your work raising any issues you encounter

Requirements:

Essential
  • At least 2 years commercial experience in C#
  • ASP.NET Core (Predominantly WebApi)
  • RESTful APIs - HTTP Status Codes, CORS, JSON, JWT
  • Experience of working in agile environment preferably using SCRUM
  • Object orientated programming and design principles
  • SQL Server - Comfortable with database design and writing queries/stored procedures
  • Experience of some form of ORM (Entity Framework, NHibernate, Dapper)
  • Knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks (NUnit, XUnit, Moq)
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • GIT Source control
