They are currently transitioning from our legacy monolithic Ruby-on-Rails application, which has grown to support six branded websites. Over the past year they have been developing a new microclient frontend architecture using Next.js, to replace a hybrid of Rails, React and Backbone. To support this, they have worked closely with their UX team, to create a new shared component library using React and Storybook. Their new microclients are built on a Node.js platform running in Kubernetes powered by a CI/CD pipeline.
Their goal is to create a scalable frontend architecture to rapidly create new brands and websites.
