Digital Practitioner (BIM Engineer) - Tunnelling - Permanent

Salary: - £35,000 - £45,000 (Open to negotiation for the right person) + Package
The role of Digital, BIM Engineer is working directly for a global contractors inhouse design team, who are expanding the design engineering function and as such the Information Manager requires an ambitious Digital, BIM Engineer who has an appreciation or interest in civils, tunnelling,
infrastructure join their growing team in Central London. Their expertise ranges across tunnelling, geotechnics, temporary works, concept design, detail design and construction support on major projects valued at £1+ billion-pounds. Working with the design team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the project's Information Manager with the setup, maintenance and future improvements of the design organisation's information flow.
You will become the champion of multiple digital technologies while gaining insight into how a mega project is organised and contractually relevant information flow is safely managed and administered.
You will assist in developing, optimising, and implementing processes, technologies and workflows
Ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of the project
Assist in organising and delivering relevant training to the project team
Support preparation of meetings, collate and edit input for presentations and preparing minutes of meetings
Assist project teams to optimise existing workflows
Collect data from various sources, organise, understand and present the information
Coordinate project data and systems, working with IT / Information Security professionals
A Degree in a technical oriented discipline: Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science
Technical knowledge of a range of software platforms and databases - Existing experience with one or more from: Visual Basic, Power Automate, PowerShell, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Power Query M, Python, Power BI, SharePoint, Azure, Amazon Web Services, ProjectWise, SQL, Machine Learning, other programming languages or relevant software
Interest in Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects
Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system).
