As Village Store Retail Supervisor, you'll be contributing to keeping Holdens & Co. including The Hideaway Gift Shop to the highest of standards, working within a team you'll ensure the farm shop is set up and ready at all times of service, and that you are providing a warm and welcoming service. It's important that we maintain good communication within the shop, gift shop and across all departments to ensure we work effectively and create a seamless customer experience.
You'll be confident and have experience working both single handedly and within a team in a very busy environment. The role will also include ordering stock and ensuring service standards are at the highest level.
You'll be able to promote sales, propose ideas to implement into the business and work with the management team as well as implement creative merchandise displays focussing on driving sales. The role has a great deal of scope and the successful candidate will have a great opportunity to push themselves and the business further, develop their career and be rewarded for their success.

Experience of working within a busy retail shop/ice cream parlour/café/farm shop operation is preferable but training and upskilling can be provided if you have transferrable skills
An understanding of high-end artisan products
Barista experience is desirable
Strong front of house skills - a great personality with the ability to build strong relationships with regular customers and visitors alike
A passion for excellent service and aptitude for cross and up selling
A creative and commercial insight to implement in store merchandising that drives growth of sales
A strong communicator and people person with the ability to liaise between both the front of house and management teams
Enthusiastic, bright and bubbly with a great deal of charisma
Hours: Full Time working 5 days over 7 including weekends
