Job Details
We're urgently recruiting for an experienced Legal Support Manager. This is full time and permanent.
Manchester based (initially remote working with plans for office return, Covid dependent)
Duties & responsibilities:
-Ensure the legal support team meets the demands of the firm and its clients
-Successful delivery of a high-quality, client-focused legal support service
-Day-to-day management of the practice and team assistants; and will be the main point of
contact
-Focusing on understanding the business and practice needs and work with the Head of Legal Support Services and fee earners to strategically design and deliver appropriately resourced administrative support services and deliver exceptional client service.
-People management-Manage individual performance, regular progress meetings and annual appraisals, probation reviews, induction of new starters, people development, resolve issues relating
to workflow, resources, working relationships, service delivery and HR matters
-Management of support services- Working closely with other Support Managers, manage resource allocation, ensuring a fair distribution of workload and cover, prioritisation of work appropriately, recruitment and selection process
-Produce management information
-Delivery of exceptional client service, ongoing process improvement
-Lead on department projects
Person specification:
-Experience of working in a management role in a legal or professional service environment
-Experience of managing multiple stakeholders and leading change
-Ability to balance conflicting priorities
-Confidential and discreet
-Ability to lead, motivate and develop people
-Strong influencing & negotiating skills
