Maintenance, Controls and Facilities Manager

Maintenance, Controls and Facilities Manager based Wiltshire. Working for a global communications provider, your employment history will evidence a robust Maintenance and Management record, further supported with strong Environmental, Health and Safety working practices.

Originating from a Manufacturing Sector, you will have previous exposure to Capital Project planning, ideally related to new site refurbishment/relocation, working with financial budgets and targets plus the relevant supply chain, both civil and ancillary services.

Ideally Educated to Degree Level in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, your career will demonstrate substantial working knowledge of PPM (Preventative and Predictive Maintenance), with the relevant tools experience and techniques required to manage both the working plant, the workshop and the team of Engineers, Technicians, Project Team and Administration support.

Reporting to the Engineer Director and key stakeholders, you will act as the single point of contact and accountability for the HSE requirements of all staff and contractor site safety, fire and evacuation procedures, electrical and machinery safety, machine guarding and maintenance. Through consistent staff and plant reviews you will ensure that a robust service history is accessible, is evidenced and recorded for all parties, ensuring to report and monitor fault trends and efficient/effective planned maintenance.

Although a senior management role, you will need to play a 'hands on' approach when training, investigating and implementing preventative maintenance tasks. Leading from the front is a key requirement for the overall success and delivery of this pivotal role, therefore your previous experience will include working knowledge of industrial and motion control systems (Siemens preferred) or Allen Bradley, 2 and 4 stroke engine maintenance, electrical installation and advanced MS Office for report writing and management communication.

The ability to review, assess and implement service changes to all plant machinery, to maintain service records and demonstrate through presentation to colleagues will be a natural expectation, further supported by relevant training and formal appraisal. Further attributes such as Six Sigma process improvement certification, a Health and Safety Qualification and any experience gained within electronics would be highly advantageous to this position.

Salary offered up to £48000 plus excellent employee benefits scheme, discretionary end of year targeted bonus, 25 days holiday, contributory pension scheme, life assurance and employee assistance are a few benefits on offer.
