Job Details
anzuk are working with our partner school in their search for a Secondary Teacher with ASD and SEMH experience. This role is to cover maternity leave and will be for 1 year, full time with the potential to be extended.
Our School
This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team of supportive educators and to work with children from the age of 4 - 16years who have the primary need of Autism. The majority of the students will also have additional needs such as SEMH, PDA and Complex Needs.
The Role
This role is to cover Maternity leave from March 2021 and will be ongoing for minimum of 1 year. Initially, you will be required to work via anzuk so a full registration will be required, however there is potential for a contract directly with the school after a trial period. The role is full time, however part time may also be considered.
You will have the responsibility of teaching Maths and Science to Secondary aged pupils, so a specialism in either of these subjects is desirable. You will also be required to plan and prepare resources.
Applicants must:
Have experience with SEND, ideally Autism or SEMH (ideally both)
Be flexible, engaging and have an affinity to make a positive impact on students learning
Hold QTS and have experience teaching Maths and Science, NQTs will be considered for this role
Be able to provide references to cover employment for the most recent 2 years fully
Have a DBS registered with the update service, if not be willing to apply for one through anzuk To apply for this role please call Laura Evans on (phone number removed) or email laura.e@anzuk.education. If this role is not suitable but you are looking for opportunities working with local SEND schools then please do get in touch!
anzuk.education is committed to ensuring that there is no discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation at any stage of the recruitment process or in the terms and conditions offered to new employees, or promoted employees
