My client have been providing mechanical and electrical solutions for ever-changing environments. Since its formation in 1992 my client has established itself nationwide in the Mechanical and Electrical industry. From their head office location in Yorkshire they operate throughout the UK with over 100 employees.

They have an immediate requirement due to a site starting on the 11th January 2021, they looking to interview either face to face or virtually from their return on the 4th Jan.

Site Manager

They have a large site (2 million value) in Birmingham and are looking for a Site Manager/Supervisor to run the site for 4 months initially, but will then be expected to travel Nationwide.

The project is M & E so we need a person who is familiar with Mechanical building services including, Plumbing, Heating and Ventilation as well as the responsibility of co-ordination of the electrical services including small power, lighting and structured cabling.

The person must be available immediately and have a minimum of SSSTS site skills.

The role is permanent so the candidate should be available for travel nationally however the initial post will be site based in Birmingham.

Wage will be experience related but would be either salaried or hour rate dependant upon experience and suitability.

Ideally the candidate would have experience in the MEP trades for small to medium size projects and would have come from a hands on trade background, familiar with on site trades and installation.

Laptop, vehicle and all equipment required to do the role will be provided and would be suited to the role and experience of the individual.

The role will be to supervise the installation of the mechanical and electrical installation and their tasks would involve:-

* Collaboration and liaison with our client the main contractor

* Communication with the client and clients design team

* Co-ordination of the M & E Services including associated BWIC, Drainage Controls and specialist trades

* Health and safety monitoring on site

* Quality inspections and monitoring

* Programme reporting and targeting deadlines

* Management of subcontractors and specialists

The individual will be part of a larger team and will be expected to keep daily records, attend weekly meetings and be available to report back to their superiors.

Would possibly consider self-employed labour only if rates acceptable - ideally the candidate will consider a permanent contract.
