We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Curriculum Leader or ambitious Lecturer specialising in Mechanical Engineering, you will be based at our thriving specialist Engineering Centre in Rotherham College, town centre. Working with a supportive team including leadership from our Curriculum Manager, team leaders, lecturers and technicians. This established team of education professionals deliver engaging practical and theory lessons for level 2 and 3 study programmes, as well as the new apprenticeship frameworks and BTEC HNC/HND at our new state of the art University Centre Rotherham.
The role of a Curriculum Team Leader is to lead on the delivery of a range of programmes and apprenticeships equipping our students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training and inspire students to achieve their potential.
As a Curriculum Team Leader, you will coordinate and lead a group of programmes, completing the relevant preparation and marking that supports this, and setting SMART targets to enable students to reach their potential. You will also supervise staff within your area.Have you got what it takes?
The successful candidate will ideally have at least a L4 Engineering qualification and experience of delivering practical workshop units. Additionally, we will require someone with significant lecturing and industry experience to bring the curriculum to life.
Possession of a teacher training qualification would be an advantage, however as a college we are able to offer support and training to achieve this. You must be passionate and professional with the ability to bring the subject matter to life while engaging with a wide variety of learners.Why work for us?
