What will you do?
This a fantastic opportunity to work with HMRC's largest business customers on some of our most complex tax compliance activities.
You'll be a key member of the Large Business North West team and will play an active role across HMRC setting strategic direction, driving innovation and managing your own portfolio.
You'll be responsible for Large Business operations across our Liverpool & Manchester Regional Centres playing a key role in building team capability and shaping it's future development.
How will you add value to the role?
Excellent leadership skills, able to nurture and build capability within teams and motivate people to reach challenging goals
A proven track record of building effective internal and external partnerships across organisational boundaries
Strong customer service ethos and delivery focus, able to respond quickly to changing circumstances and tight timescales as priorities evolve and develop
Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage confidently in a wide range of situations
Recent compliance experience of working on complex tax issues
Able to quickly develop an understanding of the Large Business operating model
What will you be part of?
We are responsible for HMRC's compliance work with the largest and most complex business customers; businesses which account for some 40% of HMRC's annual revenues.
Our strategy is applied to the UK's 2,000 most complex businesses, which have each been allocated a Customer Compliance Manager reflecting our resource intensive, collaborative compliance approach.
Large Businesses fall into their own customer group within the Customer Centric Business Strategy - High Value, Large and Complex - because they are significantly different to businesses in other customer groups.
The North West region has a range of businesses within, but not exclusive to, the business services, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and healthcare sectors.

Base salary of £71K (£74.5K London) dependent upon experience
25 days annual leave rising to 30 days after 5 years' service
