Our Sandwich Artists are key to the success of our Subway outlets. Whilst you'll work within (and be supported by) our Foodstores, this is a different kind of retail.

As someone who prides themselves on providing brilliant service, you'll love looking after your customers from the moment they approach your counter to the time they leave. You're passionate about what you do and will enjoy sharing your product knowledge to ensure you build your customer a sandwich as individual as they are!

Food hygiene and preparation is obviously really important to the service we provide and there'll be different procedures and checks you'll need to follow to ensure the branch is trading safely and legally.

As a Sandwich Artist, you'll form part of a skilled, engaged and diverse team representing both the East of England Co-op and Subway brands. We're proud of our colleagues who work hard to support each other, their branch's success and the local communities they serve.

Food retail is fast-paced and constantly evolving; you are unlikely to have two days the same and this is what makes working in our branches exciting! Whilst you don't need to have worked in this environment before, you'll need to show a flexible approach and a commitment to providing great customer service. We are truly local, so you can work safe in the knowledge that you will be fully supported by nearby store and Head Office colleagues, as well as your in-store team.

Working Hours

We're here to serve our communities when they need us, so our colleagues are required to cover a number of different shifts across our trading hours, which include early mornings, evenings and weekends. We promote flexible working arrangements and are happy to discuss different ways of working (please indicate your availability within your application).

Offering a friendly and helpful service to our members and customers
Food preparation (from 'back of house' to in front of the customer)
Build relationships with other stores and colleagues and the local community
Working safely and legally, including food hygiene procedures
