An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to work for the Personal Finance arm of a leading financial institution. Solihull-based (once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted), this opportunity offers an individual to advance their career in the Credit Risk Analytics space.
There are two roles available in an established team with competitive benefits including an opportunity to join a growing Motor Finance arm.
Risk Analyst Responsibilities include:
Monitoring of scorecards, identifying early warning signs and providing recommendations.
Involvement in scorecard builds as necessary.
Attend regular meetings with the Credit Reference Agencies to understand trends.
Implement monitoring and controls for bureau reporting
Working on new projects such as Non-Performing Loans strategy
Liaise with all levels of seniority across the business
Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues.Senior Analyst Responsibilities include:
Analyse application data, complete weekly reports, understand trends, and present within internal meetings
Develop, recommend and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt and detrimental customer behaviours.
Provide input to pricing departments on applicant quality and expected risk levels
Maintain, update, and develop the Motor MI suite which is used to update senior management within the monthly Risk Committee meeting
Complete development/monitoring on expected risk forecasts, including the monitoring of cut-offs by dealers
Develop, maintain and monitor account performance MI for all financed vehicles
Support the commercial teams in investigating specific applications where they may not have progressed through the risk engine as prescribed
Help to upload strategy changes within the implementation team, including live testing, and monitoring following the release
Complete controls for the Asset Manager to ensure that new and used vehicle values are being used within the system correctly
Liaise with Operational teams as requested to ensure that policies and procedures are being complied with in an efficient manner in order to protect our customer's interests.
As requested, liaise with other departments or external organisations e.g. Credit Bureau on relevant issues.
Step in for the Risk manager to look after the portfolio during periods of annual leave
Supervise risk analysts as requested, taking responsibility for the work that they undertake.
Assist in the development of the risk analysts and help maintain a high level of motivation within the department.
Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory issues.Experience & Skills Required:
Educated to a degree level
Recent, relevant experience as a Risk Analyst
SAS Base & SQL Programming skills
Thorough understanding of the Credit Risk life cycle
Great understanding of credit bureau data and products
