About us

Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, our crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning.

We are looking for a Senior Retail Operations Manager to join our Retail Team. The Retail Team supports the RNLI through the delivery of profitable trading, delivering funding to the charity and engaging with volunteers and supporters.

Your role

As a Senior Retail Operations Manager, you will be tasked with focusing on the following areas across all channels:

- Improving and driving consistency in customer experience and journey
- Driving income growth
- Retail assets management (leasing and shop-fit)
- Governance and compliance

About you

You will be someone who has experience in leading, supporting and influencing a team within a matrix management and partly volunteer-led structure to deliver income, standards, and performance. To be considered as the Senior Retail Operations Manager, you will need:

- Retail experience at multi-site level
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
- To be completely customer-centric
- A commercial focus with good budget management experience
- To be strategically focussed on long-term delivery

Other organisations may call this role Retail Regional Manager or Area Manager.
