Newly created position with specialist SEND education provider in Bedford

Your new company
Our client is already a specialist provider of SEND learning but has recently open a new site in Bedford and are now looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to step on to what will prove to be a great progressive career opportunity for this Deputy Manager position.

Your new role
As the Deputy Education Service Manager you will plan and deliver personalised SEND education programmes, and support and performance-manage other staff. Working closely with the Education Service Manager and senior college colleagues you will effectively manage, plan and implement quality education, learning and care provision for learners with sensory loss/impairment and additional learning difficulties.

You will also support centre staff in participating fully in the development of learning and care provision that meets the needs and requirements of learners and external funding authorities also, to ensure, as part of fulfilling learner achievement and development, that every opportunity is given to learners to access further education.

Key Responsibilities

Effectively line manage staff, to include the undertaking of supervision and appraisal of support staff,
Plan, lead and deliver lessons when required
Act as a Mentor to Education Staff
Plan and implement individual learner timetables
Provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities
Support in delivering person-centred education, learning and care provision
Support the day-to-day operational issues.

In return you will join the new site team in a spacious and well equipped location. Training and support to staff is considered a priority and there is a very real possibility of personal progression including the overall management of the Bedford site.
