Job Details

The purpose of the role is to support the implementation and delivery of external and internal marketing and communication strategies and content. Ensuring projects run on time and are effectively communicated throughout the business. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive and deliver engagement both with our internal (employee) and external (customer) stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of all Marketing and Comms related projects across the business, both internal and external projects and campaigns alongside working closely with the Internal Communications Manager and International Marketing Manager, this role reports into the Head of Communications and will be pivotal in delivering our strategic marketing objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

Support implementation of external and internal communication strategies to support business growth and drive levels of employee engagement across all areas of the organisation.

*

Develop and deliver content marketing and communications plan; internal and external.

*

Ensure organisational purpose, strategy initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.

*

Manage multiple channels, including intranet, cascade brief, website and social media/blogs.

Manage multiple senior stakeholders, including MPs, media and Executive Directors.

*

Manage Internal and external campaigns, channels and messages. Storyboard and translate ideas into compelling communication campaigns. Act on feedback to continuously improve.

*

Ensure communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different stakeholders and ensure processes are seamless

*

Effectively manage the Marshall brand

Tasks:

*

Exceptional Project Management skills are essential to ensure successful delivery of key communications activity, including Senior Management Conferences and Key Customer Visits

*

Use expertise to fine tune communication strategies in line with evolving objectives.

*

Be able to clearly understand briefs and campaign objectives and effectively control associated budgets

*

Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to a variety of external and internal stakeholders in written or spoken form.

*

Report on campaign results (ROI)

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following capabilities:

Intuition to spot opportunity and improve communication and influence to the Leadership team by showing them what good looks like.

Listening and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with key stakeholders and give confidence to all levels of the business and explain communication techniques to them.

Understand how team efforts contribute to commercial drivers and grasp the wider implications of own decisions.

Can change tack with ease, adapts communication and approach to different stakeholders

Make timely, effective and inclusive decisions and follow them through; take a pragmatic approach to tackling issues within own team

Technical Competencies:

Writing skills: Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories and translate complex technical language into compelling copy.

Verbal skills: Strong verbal skills as you are likely to be called on to give presentations to senior internal and key external stakeholders. Sensitivity to an organisation's goals and values and the ability to relay them to employees and stakeholders is also essential.

Creative skills: Creative ability to devise communication strategies, while digital skills, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.

Commercial Skills: Ensuring that our communication approach a key driver of business success is a fundamental aspect of the role, so developing an in-depth understanding the sector we work in will be crucial
