Job Details
CDS Recruitment Limited have an exciting opportunity to join a North East based Manufacturer on a permanent basis. The role involves carrying out Preventative and Reactive maintenance in a busy Fast Moving Manufacturing environment. The main purpose of the role is to provide technical expertise in fault diagnosis and rectification across a busy site in electrical and mechanical disciplines to minimise downtime cross the sites 24/7 operation. You will be responsible for identification and implementation of equipment/process improvements across site and will be expected to contribute towards ensuring the sites product quality, safety and overall equipment targets are met.
Working safely at all times following relevant legislation & internal procedures.
Delivery of the sites agreed unplanned engineering downtime target due to engineering related failures.
Use of key tools such as:
" Root cause analysis - 5 Whys
" Deliver all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to good safety / engineering / site standards returning equipment to service with the minimum of downtime. Ensuring that the site maintenance system is updated correctly
" Rapid resolution of unplanned downtime issues
" Compliance to maintenance performance measures
" Initiation and implementation of continuous improvement activities / projects
" R&M Cost
" Data Quality
" Reactive v Preventative, Maintenance
" Labour Utilisation
" Compliance to PPM Schedule
" Planned Downtime / Technical Availability
Our client has asked us for a Time served Engineer with a minimum HNC in a relevant Control Systems / Electrical / Mechanical discipline
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline
