General Ledger Accountant Job in West Lothian for a Qualified Accountant

Your new company
Our client are a highly regarded entrepreneurial business with over 30 years experience in their field. Providing customised services to their client base, our client are a well-known brand with customer experience at the heart of their operations. Based in West Lothian, our client are now looking to appoint an experienced Accountant with strong General ledger and Leadership experience. Our client are continuing to diversify their service offering and as a result, this is a newly created post. This role will suit an aspirational fully qualified accountant looking join a successful blue-chip enterprise.

Your new role
Facing into the Financial Controller, you will be part of a high profile team driven through quality MI and performance reporting. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for Financial accounting and balancesheet reconciliations, KPI and financial analysis and insight reporting. You will be responsible for overseeing operations across a multi-site environment and bringing best practice to the team.

Your role will be a key facilitator across operations and finance through providing insightful analysis and insight to the business to facilitate the decision making process. You will be responsible for general ledger accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and providing recommendations to senior management. This is a facilitator role where enhancing performance and providing quality MI is essential to the success of the sales teams.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with ideally a few years post qualification experience. People management/leadership skills are key given this is a visible role across the business. Industry experience in a similar role is preferred with a strong mix of technical and analysis experience gained to date. This is a varied role where relationships are build across multiple sites and communication skills are key. You will have strong reporting skills with the ability to work with large data sets and quickly identify areas of improvement. Our client are a fast paced and continually evolving organisation and like-minded individuals who are looking to continually evolve and progress would be essential here.

This is a fantastic role with a strategic focus around Financial Planning and Analysis and continuous improvement.
