THE COMPANY:
Brewster Partners are excited to be working in partnership with a leading design and manufacturing client based in Sheffield.
Due to continued success within the retail industry, selling direct to consumer, our client are searching for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to further progress the growth of the business.
As the Supply Chain Manager, you will leading in a newly created role and will take responsibility for managing the purchasing and supply chain functions.
THE JOB:
You will work closely with the manufacturing, design and development teams, managing and overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process from placing orders through to product delivery.
Communication and analysis are both key areas - we need you to demonstrate you can build and maintain working relationships with suppliers whilst producing the detailed reports to present to senior management.
You will be responsible for the procurement of goods, components and ingredients, working closely with suppliers and factories across the globe to ensure that quality products are obtained at a good price and on time.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Responsible for our supply chain function including sourcing and procurement of a wide range of components and materials to meet production requirements
Able to work to targets on inventory holding and surge demand, sourcing and stocking the warehouse accordingly
Collaborating with the manufacturing and finance teams to place purchase orders for stock
Working with our suppliers to arrange call-off contracts and volume incentive schemes for material purchases
Production forecast planning
Manage the implementation, setup and configuration of new manufacturing system from our two choices (with help!)
THE PERSON:
A successful background in retail supply chain management (chemical, pharmaceutical or similar industry)
Experience of sourcing and procuring goods from overseas
Contract negotiation
A team player who is adaptable is critical to the success of this role
Advance Microsoft Excel skills
Working knowledge of inventory planning and MRP systems.
Analytical
Strong written and oral communication skills
BENEFITS:
Salary circa £35,000pa
