NHS TAYSIDE
TAYSIDE CANCER CENTRE
NINEWELLS HOSPITAL & MEDICAL SCHOOL???????
CONSULTANT POST IN
CLINICAL ONCOLOGY -BREAST (10 SESSIONS)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in Tayside Cancer Centre. This is a full time (10 PA) post, but applicants wishing to work part time will be considered
The care of patients in Tayside is organised on a multi-disciplinary, tumour site specific basis. Most patients with cancer in Tayside are managed according to protocols, which have been developed by the relevant multi-disciplinary cancer group. These groups have been established for patients with tumours of all the main tumour sites
The successful applicant will join a team of seven consultant clinical oncologists and five consultant medical oncologists. We are a small department and our priority is to recruit a colleague who will integrate and work collaboratively across the multi-professional team so we encourage applicants to discuss any other preferred disease sites as it may be possible to accommodate these with a degree of internal re-organisation
Ninewells is a teaching hospital and Dundee University is particularly strong in the basic cancer sciences, so applicants with a clinical research or teaching interest would be welcomed
Interested applicants are encouraged to contact:
Dr Sharon Armstrong (Clinical Lead), Ninewells Hospital, telephonebleep 5540.
Secretary Lynne McFawns
Closing date for applications: 20 December 2020
Interview date: 8 January 2021
