Supplier Quality Engineer**
*£40,000 - £45,000 DOE + Life Insurance + Private Medical care or Medical Cashback Benefits + 25 days holiday plus BH + 7% Pension Contribution*
My Client is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a growing organisation based in High Wycombe, the main duties of the role will be to develop on quality issues & KPI'S with new and existing suppliers. My Client manufacture a complex electromechanical product which filters between high and low volume manufacturing.
Main duties for the Supplier Quality Engineer will be:
*Responsible for the evaluation of supplier operational quality performance and take action to improve quality and cost of quality associated with supplied product.
*The role will act as the key interface between the Quality and Supply Chain departments to ensure the highest quality product enters the supply chain.
*The role requires a strong combination of technical, analytical, and commercial capabilities/skills and knowledge.
*Problem Solving: Resolve complex dimensional and process issues within the supply chain to reduce delivery impacts.
*Evaluate Potential Suppliers: Undertake analysis and due diligence of any potential new supplier.
*Operations Support: Provide SQE support at meetings to understand production build related supplier quality issues and in conjunction with the Buyer to resolve the issue(s) with the Supplier.
*Supplier Performance: Regularly analyse Supplier performance data through KPI's, supplier corrective actions and manage poor performing suppliers.
*NPD & Product Transfer: Support new product development/deployment and supplier transfer activities.
Key skills and experience needed to be the successful Supplier Quality Engineer:
*Demonstrable experience in supplier quality with complex engineering machined parts and assemblies.
*Experience of continuous improvement methodologies 8D, PPAP, DFMEA & PFMEA, tools and techniques are essential.
*Involvement in activities to improve or reduce cost of quality
*Experience of introducing new suppliers to the organisation's supply chain.
*Previous experience of conducting supplier audits.
*Degree in an engineering/technical discipline or relevant quality manufacturing experience.
*Lean Manufacturing qualification (desirable)
*Must have experience working in a complex manufacturing environment
