Infrastructure Programme Director

This is a multi £bn infrastructure transformation programme within the Telecoms sector, the largest of it's kind to ever be rolled out in the UK.
This role requires strong strategic leadership, a key influencer who has stacks of emotional intelligence, someone with the energy, vision and drive to get things done in a high-impact and fast-paced role.
Core sector skills and expertise for this role:
Major scale infrastructure programme experience - within the European or UK Utilities sector, experience in either Civil Engineering, Power, Water, Rail or Telecoms.
Full P&L accountability of £1Bn p/a capital expenditure.
Major scale programme management/project management experience with knowledge of 3pm3.
Significant experience within CDM, Health & Safety.
Accountable for successful in-life operation of the 3rd Party Partner commitments for civil engineering and network deployment across all in-scope build programmes, ensuring the network is built to time, quality and cost.
Accountable for the strategy that enables delivery of end to end outcomes nationally for all in-scope build programmes.
Procurement and management of 3rd party suppliers (managing c10,000 subcontract labour).
Managing digital workflows, transforming processes & making strategic improvements.
Appreciation and understanding of regulatory expectations and pressures.
Experience in the end to end lifecycle of major programme management.
Demonstrate full leadership and accountability of the entire programme.
Engagement with senior stakeholders and group.This programme is a few years in cycle and will peak around 2025. Thereafter decommissioning will begin.
