A position has arisen for a Desktop Engineer to join a leading public sector organisation in Bath. This is a technical role where you will be setting up and configuring large volumes of laptops and desktop computers. This contract is for 5 days per week and is paying up to £100 per day for an initial period of 4 months.

The successful candidate must have a flexible 'can do' attitude and must be prepared to adapt accordingly depending on what the role requires.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting to resolve a backlog of IT queries that have built up as a result of increased workload across the organisation
• Configuring and maintaining all hardware
• Supporting delivery of 2nd line technical support across fast-paced organisation, ensuring high standards in line with agreed SLAs
• Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktop computers

The successful candidate should have:

• Experience in supporting IT hardware
• Knowledge of imaging PCs
• Ideally experience of working in a W10 deployment
• A keen interest in IT hardware
