Term Time - January Start
The Role
Working alongside a Specialist Secondary School within the Preston area, Vida Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a classroom environment. The school provides full time education for pupils who are unable to access mainstream educational provision. These pupils may show signs of Behavioural difficulties, problems with anger or mental health issues.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be proactive in supporting the teacher, ensuring that all pupils are given the opportunities, skills, knowledge and qualifications in order for them to reintegrate back into mainstream education or on to specialist provision, further education employment or training.
Requirements
- Prior experience working within a PRU/SEN setting
- Confident and proactive
- Enhanced DBS
- Satisfactory references
Working with Vida Education
- Continual support and training if required
- Competitive rates of pay
- Single point of contact with your dedicated consultant
- APSCo registered
We are an experienced team who specialise in placing secondary teachers, primary teachers, cover supervisors, teaching assistants and school admin and clerical staff into positions across Cumbria and Lancashire.
As you are working with children, safeguarding and child welfare is paramount and an Enhanced DBS is required for the role, this can be discussed further upon application.
