Role: SEN Teaching Assistant/ LSA - 1:1 Hearing and Visually Impaired and Autism

Location: Ilford

Length: ASAP - July 2021 (Possibility of the role extending beyond)

Pay: £75 - £85 Per Day

TimePlan Education are working exclusively with a two-form entry Primary school based in Ilford that are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support 2 Year 5 students in the morning with hearing and visual impairments and in the afternoon to work with a child who has autism.

The role:

In this SEN Teaching Assistant post you will be working with students 1:1 and in a group setting to support the progression and development of the students. You will be based in the mainstream Primary School and will be under the instruction of the SENCO. You may be working from individual education plans on a 1:1 basis some part of the day and the other delivering group work.

The Candidate:

You will be a gifted SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience working with SEN children with complex needs that include Autism. You will be an empathetic individual who can seek out additional responsibility and develop your own role. The ideal individual should be able to develop a positive and inclusive ethos within the classroom in which to help SEN pupils. It is essential for you to possess the traits and attitude that sees you quickly become a role model to pupils from all economic and social backgrounds.

The school try to create an atmosphere where the children find themselves in a stimulating environment and want to come to school each day. The School is easily located within walking distance of main bus routes. The students which attend are from mixed backgrounds and cultures.
