Preston School Seeking EYFS Teaching Assistant - January Start
This one form entry Primary School in Preston is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in their Reception Class.
You will be supporting the class teacher deliver the EY curriculum. The school's last ofsted described the school as a "very good school'.
There is clear emphasis on achievement and on helping pupils to develop personally as well as academically and all adults work towards these common goals. The schools local area is socially, economically and culturally diverse and the school's population is drawn from a very wide variety of backgrounds.
The school are looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse with an NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You must have previously worked in a school environment before, supporting a class teacher with the foundation stage. You must be familiar with the Early Learning Goals and be able to make learning fun and interesting for young children. You must be a team player who can get on and use your initiative. You must have strong communication skills and be confident supporting the class teacher with assessing and monitoring children. Ability to liaise with parents and a solid understanding of the foundation stage curriculum is essential. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to return to work or just wanting work on a part time basis. This is a long term position and the school are wanting to take someone on who can commit until the end of the summer term. You will be working in an organised and supportive school.
