Independent Sector Liaison Manager - Band 8B
Temporary: Expected to last until March 2021
Location: Milton Keynes
Pay Rate: £25.20 - £30 per hour paye plus holiday or £29 to £35.30 per hour umbrella
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
The role will be responsible for;
* Reviewing all patients on the waiting list above 40 weeks across all BLMK acute hospitals
* Identify opportunities to jointly manage these patients including the use of Independent Sector Providers
* Leading patient liaison through care pathways with Independent Hospitals, such as the clinics locally to the trust.
* Ensuring that appropriate processes are followed by patients during their pathways, such as ensuring COVID tests are completed prior to admission
* Establish processes to ensure patient records and all relevant information is transferred securely and in a timely manner.
* Manage communications process with the patients, the acute hospital clinical staff and ISP's
* Ensure all coding and records are kept up to date and accurate
* Review and monitor capacity daily and optimising utilisation
* Monitor theatre capacity and utilisation levels
* Forward monitoring of planned activity against planned levels
* Review and monitoring cancellations; and
* Manage issues and escalating as appropriate in real time
Experience Required:
* Patient Liaison role for an NHS Hospital,
* NHS operational experience
* Senior role in the NHS - at least Band 8A
