Technical Design Manager

Technical Design Manager- Great Yarmouth - 6 month FTC- £35,000- £40,000

Our client designs and manufactures specialist products for subsea installations worldwide. They are a small but very busy company and are looking to recruit a Technical Design Manager initially on a 6 month contract. This person will be responsible in providing technical solutions and technical design capability for client projects, using bespoke designs structures, standard products and to develop R&D products including relevant and tested procedures for use and to approved standards. Having keen attention to detail whilst understanding the business over time will help you to see potential issues and errors before they happen.

Job responsibilities:

To have garnered a good understanding of the business and have strong commerciality to be able to always provide the best technical solution at the best cost
R&D development
Structural calculations and coordinates using the businesses software
Accurate and commercially efficient bid and quote production
Working closely with both the Senior Engineer and Junior Engineer to ensure efficiency and proficiency
Providing technical reports as required
To be considered for the position:

Technical expertise in structural solutions in relation to design
Project management experience
Civil engineering, structural engineering or concrete experience is needed
Must have extensive relevant industry experience ideally in a technical position which would be experience within civils, marine civils and project management
