Brewster Partners are pleased to be working with a rapidly expanding south Yorkshire based manufacturing group as they look to recruit the newly created position of Engineering Manager into the business.

Managing two different divisions, you'll be responsible for managing, leading and developing the engineering team.


Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will have a 12-14 direct reports who in term are looking after over 150 different machines across different divisions of the business.

The specific responsibilities of this role will include:

Overseeing day to day maintenance, organising project work and live support issues
Ensuring that PPM is carried out across all machines
Managing and maintaining the parts store
Reporting on engineering planning and performance
Organising shifts & rotas for your engineering team
Liaising with stakeholders across the business to prioritise engineering requirements
Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers THE PERSON:

Successful candidates who have good attention to detail but also have the ability to look at the bigger picture and see it's implications.
Someone who will be leading others, so will need to live and breath the company values.
A person who can liaise with multiple people on a daily basis so good communication skills are essential and well as the ability to influence people, in both person and writing.
AN Engineering Manager who is responsible for driving continuous improvement of the site, this will involve a lot of analysis and problem solving from you as well as decision making. You will also need to have a good level of commercial awareness to make sure any changes are cost effective.
Someone who knows their workload will be complex and varied; and to handle this you will need to have good organisation, time management and prioritisation skills as well as knowledge of IT packages.
A person to deal with lots of people throughout the business as well as external contractors so a good level of customer service will be essential. THE BENEFITS:
