We have a fantastic opportunity for someone from a governance background to take on a wide and varied role leading on our regulatory and governance activities. You may already be in a similar role or be in a governance or compliance role and looking to progress.
While some attendance in Cambridge is required, to spend time with colleagues and attend meetings, we have an increasingly flexible approach to home working and will consider flexible hours (full or part-time) and different strengths within the overall job description.
We are looking for someone who is a good all-rounder, with the ability to act as our governance lead and Company Secretary. The successful person will be a good communicator and be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide range of people, including colleagues, external stakeholders, regulators, and Board members. We are looking for someone who can manage and organise their own workload, who is proactive and has a customer focus. Experience of governance within a regulated environment is essential, with an appropriate qualification and experience of risk management and social housing a benefit.
Your main responsibilities will include: supporting the governance structure (including arranging Board and Committee meetings, minuting and writing and presenting reports);
- company secretarial duties (including submission of statutory returns and maintenance of registers);
- managing the risk management framework; leading on governance (including compliance with rules and regulatory standards and codes);
- lead on Data Protection; providing legal, governance and regulatory advice.
