Job Details

Our client is a prestigious Pensions company who are seeking a Senior Project Analyst to join their Newcastle office.

Please only apply if you have experience of DB and DC Pensions schemes.

Your role:
  • Use of HMRC Shared Work space and Compendia/Pen scope Pension Administration Systems.
  • Preparing, submitting and receiving data.
  • Manipulating spreadsheet data in order to undertake analysis.
  • Completion and review of calculations for pension benefit data both manually and spreadsheet based.
  • Revaluing and devaluing pension benefit data to ascertain any under or over payment values, reporting results to clients to consider rectification actions.
  • Undertake and review rectification actions to member benefits and issue communications.
  • Dealing confidently with HMRC, Clients, Scheme Actuaries, Scheme Administrators, Consultants, Pension Accounts/Payroll, Members and third parties by phone, email and letter.
  • Ensuring bulk updates to the database are accurately maintained.
  • Ensuring that work is prioritised correctly so that target dates are met.
  • Complete project scope and costing of project at the outset, ensuring costs are adhered to.
  • Monitoring and completion of monthly and annual tasks
  • Working in conjunction with other team members to complete ad-hoc projects.
  • Training of other team members
  • Assisting less experienced team members
  • Checking and authorising other team members' work
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Understanding and application of benefit structures, Trust Deed & Rules, Inland Revenue guidance notes, PSO, Disclosure requirements
  • Provision of technical information both verbally and in writing
  • Compliance with ISO and AAF accreditations
  • Checking and authorising project work
  • Providing general support to the deputy/ team manager

The person:
  • The ability to manipulate spreadsheet data using formulas, such as Index, V-lookup, Pivot table and Macro is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role dealing with DB pension schemes for a minimum of 5 years is essential.
