We're currently recruiting for( day and night) Registered Nurses (RGN) to work at our registered care service in St Albans, Hertfordshire providing high quality nursing support to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs. When applying, please express your interest in either becoming a day Nurse or Night Nurse with us.
We're also looking for additional bank Registered Nurses (RGN) to pick up extra shifts when our regular Registered Nurses (RGN) are on holiday, on sick leave or other periods when we are short staffed. Rates for Bank (Relief) staff are £12.80 an hour.
About the role
At this purpose-built bungalow, we provide 24 hour support for 12 people with a range of disabilities, in a friendly and homely environment. You'll be able to spend time building relationships with the people we support, getting to know them and their support needs and play a big part in their development. The people we support have many interest and activities they like to get involved in, including Art and crafts, going out for walks and drives, music, watching films, and simple cookery.
You will assess the nursing care needs of the people we support and participate in the development, implementation and regular review of their Health Action Plans (within the context of their wider Person Centred Plan) to ensure appropriate care is provided.
The role also includes responding to and managing medical and health concerns and emergencies appropriately. You will administer medications, treatments and interventions as prescribed and monitor and record their effects. It will be your responsibility to audit, order and store these medications. There will also be some personal care involved.
You'll be working night shifts as part of the staff team.

You will need to have clinical nursing skills especially in relation to complex diabetes and PEG feeding.
You must be a driver with your own transport which is insured for business use.
