Job Details

My client is an established organisation that that provide asset finance within multiple specialists. They have many years of experience working with key equipment suppliers.

Due to ongoing growth they have an opening for a New Business Account Manager.

Purpose of the role-

Approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business, working to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible, to meet personal and company targets.

Main duties-

• Persistently working the qualified leads provided by the Lead Generation team alongside cold calling potential customers to prospect for new business

• Responding to any incoming email and phone enquiries

• Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements

• Making accurate, rapid calculations of finance terms and monthly payments, using payment calculators

• Negotiating interest rates with customers and lenders

• Creating detailed and accurate proposal documents to present to the most suitable lender for the requirement

• Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing the sale with the customer

• Representing the company at trade exhibitions and maximising the networking opportunity

• Developing and maintaining relationships with equipment suppliers to ensure successful referrals

• Reviewing your own performance and consistently meeting and exceeding targets

• Developing and maintaining ongoing positive customer relationships and profitable growth opportunities

• Providing regular Sales forecasting to assist with business planning

• Developing accounts within Portman's portfolio, expanding on the services and products offered by regularly liaising with existing clients

• Proactively and progressively developing a growth pipeline, closing all possible opportunities to achieve maximum EBC in line with targets.

• Excellent sales and negotiation skills

• Good communication skills, both oral and written

• Self-motivation

• Determination and drive to work to targets

• Literacy, numeracy and IT skills (minimum to GCSE level)

• Good organisational and time management skills

• Professional manner

• Good business sense

• Excellent attention to detail

Work Experience-

• Sales, or related, experience e.g. car sales, estate agency, recruitment-B2B telesales exp

• Literacy, numeracy and IT skills (minimum to GCSE level)

• Driving license and own vehicle are a must
