Job Details
REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company with a global client base.
Main Purpose of Job:
To use expert knowledge and skills to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture. Responsible for ensuring all health, safety and environmental legislation is adhered to and policies and practices are adopted across the sites. Assisting in planning, implementation, monitoring and reviewing the protective and preventative measures adopted by the company and working to minimise operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries.
Reportable Functions
Direct oversight for all EHS activities on site
Key Performance Indicators:
Safety record
TOC compliance
Financial compliance
Performance management
Employee communication Knowledge
Ability to meet deadlines with complete and appropriate information
Ability to prioritise work load and focus on key issues
Ability to ensure that systems and records are up to date and accurateAptitudes Required
An enthusiastic, energetic, motivator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Analytical and numerate
Able to uphold and maintain systems/standards
Determined, quality orientated, organised and disciplined.
Organisational and administration skills
PC skills -Company Internal Systems/ Word processing, Excel spreadsheets and Data entry
Good verbal and written communication skills
Logical and analytical approach
Ability to engage with and facilitate multi-disciplinary team on product and process improvement issues
Determined. Quality orientated, organised and disciplined
Hands on approach
Team PlayerExperience
Experience of Environmental permit compliance.
Experience working within a manufacturing organisation would be advantageous.
Ability to effectively integrate within the Sites Teams and guide, manage and support the business.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Ability to meet deadlines by effectively prioritising your own workload.
Results driven and focused with the ability to present data in a meaningful way to a variety of audiences.
Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Good IT skills across Microsoft packages
EXPERIENCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL (14001) is essential
Experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering background is essential
