I am delighted to be recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager for a well-renowned manufacturing business in Barnsley. They are looking for a proven leader with management experience and the ability to galvanise and influence the Production Engineering team.

My client is a well-renowned manufacturing business based in Barnsley with a proven reputation for quality and service. Due to continued expansion in their manufacturing team, they are looking for a Production Engineering Manager to become an integral part of their team and drive the business forwards.

Description

As Production Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

Support all Production Engineering related actions generated through the Stakeholder meeting process.
Develop hands on analysis, problem solving and improvement of all production processes, methods and engineering specifications.
Control and develop the site layout plans and value stream layout / organisation / standardisation plans.
Manage the development and implementation of ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System to achieve and maintain accreditation.
To develop, maintain and support the implementation of the Production Management systems;
Develop the use of LEAN Principles to ensure the team deliver sustainable improvements in process efficiency, standardisation and cost down projects.Profile

The successful candidate must:

A competent, proven leader within a manufacturing environment.
Have the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
Have excellent man-management skills and the ability to influence and galvanise a workforce to your way of thinking.
Engineering or an equivalent level of qualification in a technical discipline, to level 4 or above.

Leadership experience in a Continuous Improvement/LEAN deployment function within Automotive, Aerospace & Engineering.
Excellent capability with Kaizen/LEAN/Six Sigma problem resolution techniques.
Excellent understanding of Manufacturing Process including welding, machining and fabrication.Job Offer

£45-£50k starting salary
