Job Details

A long established legal firm based in Sheffield are looking for a highly experienced Legal Cashier to join their busy finance team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Legal Cashier will be required to provide assistance in dealing with the day to day administration of the office and client accounts in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)

The successful candidate will be joining a fun, friendly and supportive environment!

Duties of the Legal Cashier will include:

* Responsible for processing purchase and sales ledger
* Maintaining client and office accounts
* Managing ledger, disbursement transfers and write-offs
* Processing payments
* Bank reconciliations
* Checking and closing matters
* Dealing with medical record payments
* Opening/closing and administering designated deposit accounts
* Reconciliation of land registry fees
* Statement reconciliations
* Petty cash
* Processing expenses

Person specification:

* Experience of working within a Legal Cashier role
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work confidently and efficiently under pressure
* Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
