About HATS Group Ltd
Healthcare and Transport Services (HATS Group) have been providing an excellent Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) since 2011. Our Service ranges from assistance for patients with limited mobility in their own home and in hospital, or those travelling in their own wheelchairs, through to provision of a carry chair for negotiating steps or stairs, stretchers, bariatric and low level High Dependency (SCBU, cardiac monitoring etc.).
HATS take great pride in providing transport for adults and children who would otherwise be unable to attend their important appointments. Many of those entrusted to HATS care are vulnerable individuals including those with severe learning difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties as well as mainstream. We also provide services for the transport of children and adults with special needs for the majority of the London Boroughs.
We are accountable to three regulatory bodies; the Care Quality Commission, Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency and the Public Carriage Office and the Authorities we service.
Join our Team of Ambulance Care Assistants
We are looking for exceptional individuals who are prepared work flexibly in providing the service by working at several NHS Trusts, CCGs, Mental Health Trusts and independent medical organisations based in Central London and surrounding boroughs. As well as driving an ambulance, you will be required to lift or assist patients into the ambulance using the latest specialised equipment. You will be responsible for the patient's safety, ensuring their journey is as comfortable as possible and they arrive at their appointment or admission in a timely manner.
Uniform
You will be provided with full uniform, including safety footwear which you will be expected to wear at all times whilst on duty.
Training and development
Ambulance Care Assistants working within Patient Transport Services will undertake an initial training course at our fully equipped Accredited Training Academy. This will involve practical assessments and written exams, and include Company Induction, Moving and Handling Techniques, First Aid Skills, Basic Patient Care Skills
