Job Details
Our Northampton based client is seeking a qualified (ACA/ACCA) experienced *** Accounts Manager *** to oversee a large portfolio of corporate clients. The clients range in size from turnovers of £50K to £25m and cover a wide variety of industries.
The Accounts Manager role includes but is not limited to the following:
* Responsible for controlling a portfolio of clients to ensure statutory deadlines are met for both statutory accounts and Corporation Tax
* Direct support to clients to assist with queries and provide tax planning advice
* Work alongside the Accounts Director to manage the accounts department
* Assist in the training of accounts staff as and when required
* Active involvement in growing the Corporate side of the business
* Supporting the Directors on client projects i.e. corporate restructures, MBOs, business advisory work
* Responsible for the billing of their client portfolio and reporting to directors on any material deviations from budgets
Remuneration package for the Accounts Manager role:

Desirable competencies for the Accounts Manager vacancy:
* The candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (10 years +)
* Experience in managing a portfolio of corporate clients
* Strong accounting knowledge, specifically FRS102 1A
* Strong Corporate tax and VAT knowledge
* Good understanding of the impact that the company accounts have on the directors' personal tax position
* Organised & efficient
* Experience in tax planning and advice for OMBs
* Ability to manage own workload
* Good working experience of accounting software (ideally IRIS and Xero)
* Can manage budgets and deadlines
* Company secretarial experience
* Attention to detail
* Supportive and reliable team member
* Loyal and self-motivated
* Displays integrity and commitment
* Good at problem solving
* Excellent communication and written skills
