Cobham Aviation Services are recruiting for an Application Support & Reporting Analyst to enable and support the organisation for service delivery of business applications in the enterprise (maintenance, implementation, decommissioning).
This will be achieved through a respected relationship with business users and owners, vendors of software packages and technical service providers (particularly in relation to supporting the legacy systems). This role will also cover the design and delivery of state of the art business intelligence and data solutions in order to fulfil our business' reporting and analytics requirements.
The position is based at our Bournemouth International Airport site, but will also allow for some flexible/remote working.
As an Application Support & Reporting Analyst, your skills and qualifications will ideally include: -
Experience of supporting applications in 1st, 2nd or 3rd line roles.
Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016 etc), Linnux/Unix
Working knowledge of SQL or any other scripting language.
MS SQL Server/T-SQL required. Desired INFOMIX
Working experience using SSRS/ Crystal Reports/ MS Power BI
Understanding of ITIL management principles
As an Application Support & Reporting Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports. Provides day to day support and oversight, performance management, data backup, system security and problem solving for the assigned business applications.
Work with internal and external customers and IT partners to develop and analyse business intelligence needs. Works within the BI workstream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems.
Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identifies options for consideration.
Performs defined tasks to monitor service delivery against service level agreements and maintains records of relevant information. Analyses service records against agreed service levels regularly to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service, and initiates or reports these actions.
Initiates and monitors actions to investigate patterns and trends to resolve problems, including consulting specialists where required. Determines the appropriate remedy and assists with implementation of it as well as preventative measures.
Monitors service delivery channels (human, digital, self-service, automated) and collects performance data. Assists with the specification, development, research and evaluation of services standards. Applies these standards to resolve or escalate issues and gives technical briefings to staff members.
Provides advice and assistance associated with the planning, design and improvement of service and component availability, including the investigation of all breaches of availability targets and service non-availability, with the instigation of remedial activities. Assists with disaster recovery together with supporting processes and manages the testing of such plans.
