This is an exciting opportunity for two Mechanical craftsman to join our passionate and knowledgeable team as the mechanical craft. This exciting role will see you heavily involved in planned, unplanned and preventative engineering duties. The role's purpose is to support the Operations team in achieving optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness & Technical Reliability through the use of Professional Maintenance & World Class Manufacturing methodologies.
This role works closely with the production shift team and will include working shifts-you will work 39 hours a week (Monday to Friday) with a rota for weekend work, twice a month.
What will I be doing in the role?
In the role as Mechanical Craftsman you will;
Perform planned maintenance tasks as scheduled by our computerised maintenance management system.
Adhere to the Permit to work system.
Respond to and rectify unplanned stops
Apply root cause analysis, countermeasures; collect and communicate relevant data regarding maintenance problems
Support the Professional Maintenance Pillar & the Workshop 5S program
Support the process performance team to drive WCM standards towards the site objectives
Coach & assist operators with autonomous maintenance tasks and challenge operating standards
Proactively support the Newark safety function by participating in safety audits.Am I who you are looking for?

A flexible and willing approach to working hours and deployment is essential
Attention to detail and persistence
Experience of using permit to work systems.
Experience of working to WCM (World Class Manufacturing) or other continuous improvement activities
Experience of using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and data collection systems
Served a recognisedmechanical apprenticeship
Educated to BTEC ONC / HNC level in Mechanical Engineering
Experience of Professional Maintenance
