Quality Manager - Aerospace/Oil & Gas


£35,000.00 - £40,000.00 per annum



The Role

The role is for a Quality Manager who is time-served & has worked their way up from a Quality Inspector level with aerospace and/or oil & gas industry exposure. You will be working with one of the UK's leading provider of aerospace and oil/gas components. You will be responsible for managing a medium sized quality team to ensure that continuous development is pushed & that high quality standards are maintained throughout the company.

Precision engineering business specializing in the manufacture of aerospace and oil & gas components - medium to heavy in size.
Experience in exotic materials as well as stainless & mild steel.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; You will have exposure in a similar position and must be time-served. You will preferably have worked your way up in quality departments from inspector or trainee level. You will have good working knowledge and extensive previous exposure to oil & gas and/or aerospace precision engineered components. You will have a working knowledge of a variety of materials including stainless steel, mild steel & exotic materials including tungsten carbide preferably.

Quality inspection from engineering drawings using measuring equipment. Must come from a hands-on quality inspection background.
CMM and hand-help quality inspection - i.e. micrometres, verniers & gauges.
Experience in the aerospace/oil or similar industries.
Must be able to work report into senior stakeholders - Director level upwards.
Must lead from the front & must have previous MAN management experience in a quality department within a CNC/precision engineering business.
Auditing/working to ISO & AS standards would be highly advantageous.
