A truly amazing opportunity for a Engineering Manager who will take on direct management of the Engineering team, whilst focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence. The department is aiming at becoming a true world class organisation and this is a real opportunity for an ambitious individual to show what they can do. The potential exists for the successful Engineering Manager to grow this role within the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
To lead, organise, control and develop the Engineering department who are responsible for maintaining the plant machinery and facilities onsite. Implementing maintenance & continuous improvement program to site equipment and facilities including the up-skilling of technician base.
Ensuring that all Health & Safety Regulations, Quality Standard Operating Procedures, Service Level Agreements & Statutory Regulations (including ISO & Secure Mandates) are adhered to at all times, whilst continually striving to improve efficiencies/working conditions within the department.
Working effectively with all team members in sustaining delivery performance & continually improving performance.
Liaise with all departments to ensure all PPM cycles are planned and completed.
Manage performance of direct reports by setting clear objectives, giving appropriate leadership, direction and coaching. Also, use methods such as one to one's and appraisals to develop their skills and knowledge.
Day to day control of Engineering and Technician teams.
Budget Control across the site
Project Management
Ensure that the teams day to day responsibilities are performed within the time scales expected and the correct quality levels are adhered to at all times
The Engineering Manager will be a time served Engineer with both Electrical and Mechanical qualifications, proven track record within a senior management role within a FMCG / Food manufacturing environment.
The Engineering Manager will be a calm and controlled individual who can demonstrate excellent coaching with excellent motivational and influencing skills
