Our Client is an established business, who are now entering into a new and exciting phase of growth, with the supply of new categories within Fresh Produce to the retail sector. With definitive expansion plans in place, we are now seeking a Commercial Manager / Supply Chain Manager on their behalf to oversee both aspects of the role.
Working in partnership with fresh produce Growers and Retail customers, this standalone position will report to the Managing Director and have responsibility for the Commercial and Supply Chain, successfully delivering the retail customers' short and long term goals.
Commercially the role will;
Manage retail customers
Monitor weekly grower prices / costings and availability
The Supply Chain focus will;
Manage stock, planning and forecasting
Liaise with the Grower base in Europe
This opportunity will manage the process of commercial and supply chain from the growers through to the retail customer. It is suited to an individual who has begun a career gaining some exposure to commercial and supply chain within Fresh Produce, and now seeking a new challenge within the sector.
Experience in a Commercial management position, with exposure to Supply Chain within Fresh Produce
Retail customer exposure, with knowledge of Tesco being advantageous
Fresh Produce experience is an essential requirement
Professional, approachable & confident
Spanish language advantageous
Location: East Midlands
