Engine Maintenance Technician - Peaking Power

Up to £45,000 plus vehicle & benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician / Engine Maintenance Technician / Field Service Engineer, to carry out routine & reactive maintenance on a range of Gas Engine Generating sets near Basildon, Essex. Our client is a leading organisation within the Peaking Power / Energy sector, with the opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team.

As an Engine Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Routine & reactive maintenance on Peaking Power & Landfill Gas site engines.

• Working as part of a team of Engineers, ensuring safe & efficient operation of the generating plant

• Ensuring health & safety is adhered to at all times

• Maintenance & Operations activities on MTU, MWM, Caterpillar & Jenbacher engines

• Travel to other sites as required

To be considered for this position, you must have a relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/HNC/HND, etc.). You should have experience carrying out maintenance on large reciprocating engines (MTU's, MWM, Caterpillar, Perkins, Deutz, Jenbacher or similar) and working on large process equipment (pumps, motors, etc.).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large competitor within the Peaking Power / Energy sector. This position requires travel across sites near Basildon, Essex & surrounds, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.

The package on offer for this role includes a salary in the range of £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, plus vehicle & company benefits including pension & holidays.
