Deputy Delivery Manager

Arup are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Arup are currently looking for a Deputy Delivery Manager to join the team working on HS2 in London

We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Deputy Delivery Manager on a 12 month contract in London

Deputy Delivery Manager Responsibilities:

Co-ordinating and leading processes regarding Delivery, Review, Assurance, Progress Measurement, Document Control
Reporting on KPIs for Deliverables
Maintaining the Design Deliverables Register
Maintaining Design Assurance Documents, such as CAT 1 Certificate, Design and Verification Certificate, Design Review Plans for every sub-asset to reflect current scope and programme
Reporting on the Design Progress Measurement
Interfacing with all parts of the Design Team, such as the Delivery Team, Disciplines, Commercial, overarching disciplines (Consent, Interface, Environment, BIM etc.)
Delivering continuous improvements to processes
Working closely with entire design team to ensure processes are followed and understood
Interfacing with the client Design Managers and Assurance teamEssential Competencies:

8 years+ experience in managing complex project delivery
Management of design team experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (including formal and informal presentation, written communications and reports).
Ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the teams and within the wider office, as well as externally with clients and contractors.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines

Qualifications & Experience:

- Engineering or design/construction management degree

- Professional institution membership / Chartership with relevant body

- Experience of delivering similar responsibilities in the railways industry in the UK

- Experience of working as part of multi-company partnerships
