This Reading based agency are market leaders within the technology sector, specialising in B2B marketing. They are wizards when it comes to technology campaign activations and blending data for multi-channel marketing and technology.
The Role
As Head of Data you will be responsible for developing and governing our data and information strategy to drive business decisions and growth. You will oversee a range of data-related functions that may include data management, ensuring data quality and creating data strategies that align to the commercial value of our data. You will also be responsible for data analytics and business intelligence, the process of drawing valuable insights from data to benefit us and our client base.
Reporting directly to the COO you will be a member of our diverse, business and people focused Leadership Team and you will influence improvement of the business's performance by enabling informed decision making. You will also work closely with the Senior Executive, Sales, Client Delivery and Client Services teams to deliver exceptional campaigns that are heavily relying on exceptional data quality. Your role will also include leading the Data Team, improving, and streamlining data systems within the company, and driving innovation.
Role Key Elements
Data Strategy
A view to define, refine and improve the current data landscape
Lead data acquisition and data management.
Provide strategy & insight to the sales team & client services team on data from the Sales Pitch to Delivery.Stakeholder Management
Effectively communicate the status, value, and importance of data collection
Provide customer and product data insight & analytics.
Build high trust relationships across the business with key stakeholdersData Maintenance
Manage the overall health, compliance and architecture of our CRM and contact database
Oversee the collection, storage, management, quality and protection of data
Implement data privacy policies and comply with data protection regulations
Drive the Implementation of relevant applications, big data solutions, and tools.People Management
A people-focused leader that motivates and manages the Data Team
Cooperates effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to drive business results.
Managing a team of 2 direct reports and helping to develop their SQL skillsProject Management
Manages data driven projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget, informing stakeholders the entire waySkills and Experience
Must have:
5 years' experience managing teams
B2B Tech experience
Experience of working with SQL server
Experience of working with contact and company data providers in the UK
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Bomobora, Cyance, MS tools
Proven management and leadership skills with ability to assess and develop current staff and hire in.Required:
Knowledge of data protection regulations and their application in the EU and UK
Experience of managing and acquiring data in countries outside of the EU and UK
Experience with matching, merging and data enhancement tools
Experience of reporting, summarising and analysing data for internal or external customers
Commercially focused with proven skills in client organic growth acceleration
Expert in analysing complex and large datasets
Expert in Data Security and associated controls
Data Governance Framework
Data Visualisation skills
Experience liaising with C-Suite
