Marketing Coordinator, £23,000 - £25,000 dep on experience, Full time, Carlisle

Are you an energetic, self-motivated marketer with a creative and inquisitive mindset? Our company is looking for you! We are looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our business SP Training. You would join our busy sales and administration team to provide the business with marketing expertise to increase our brand exposure and clearly market our services to a wider audience. You will be part of a market leading organisation in the funded and non-funded training industry with a strong local and national customer base. Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful recruit will be based 2 days a week from our city centre office and the remainder of the week from our Carlisle Airport site or from home (to be discussed with line manager). The ability to drive and have access to a car for work is therefore essential.

The role of Marketing Coordinator will involve the following duties and tasks;
  • Responsible for managing the website, updating webpages, creating and managing blog posts
  • Responsible for ensuring all marketing activities adhere to corporate branding rules both internally and externally
  • Responsible for creating and updating marketing materials such as course brochures, handouts and leaflets
  • Management of the company social media platforms such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram and linked in to include post creation, paid adverts and data analysis
  • Use of creative design IT programs such as Publisher, Canva and PowerPoint
  • Seek new and creative ways to efficiently maximise company marketing efforts via both traditional and social media platforms
  • Arrange and attend as the representative for the company, marketing events such as attendance at conferences and trade shows (virtual and "live" in the future)
  • Support the sales team to create and send electronic email marketing to CRM data base clients
  • Responsible for any digital advertising and nurture campaigns, including production of content and localised copy
  • Support sales staff with effective marketing collateral and to take advantage of opportunities to upsell/cross sell when dealing directly with customers

You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team and come up with creative and innovative ways of working to promote our business. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a degree in a Marketing/Social Media related discipline as well as strong English GCSE/A Level grades above a grade C. You will be able to show at interview that you are/have;

  • Ability to manage own time, priorities and workload
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience using marketing automation via CRM systems
  • Proactive and confident - a high energy person!
