Within the Quality and Assurance team there is an opportunity for a Quality & Assurance Facilitator due to expansion, based in Reading. If you are passionate about quality which directly impacts on the patient experience and want to be part of a newly formed team.
Role & Responsibilities:
The post holder will support the Quality & Assurance Lead in providing support, advice and guidance to all members of staff at the Hospital and in the wider Circle Group when required. The post holder will be expected to deliver on a range of projects, and ensure that national best practice is adhered to and regulatory requirements for quality are fulfilled.
Priority areas for this post will be agreed via objective setting:
1. Participate in audit, manage the audit timetable, and assist in the creation and delivery of action plans
2. Organise interdepartmental meetings and take minutes
3. To work with the department management teams to implement healthcare governance arrangements across the hospital as guided by the Quality Lead
4. To work with the wider Circle Quality to provide cross site peer support when required
5. To populate and keep up to date the risk management database so that information is current and accurate
6. To analyse complex data and provide the department management teams with regular, accurate and timely reports relating to healthcare governance, which will assist in evaluation of the services being provided
7. Assist with the production of quarterly quality reports and the annual quality account for the site Head of Nursing and AHPs
8. To identify with department management teams training needs in relation to healthcare governance and arrange suitable training programmes/workshops where required
9. Produce reports as required for the Clinical Director/AHPs and commissioners and regulators
10. To assist the Quality & Assurance Lead in the development of a suite of KPIs to monitor quality both internally and externally
11. Contribute to the information governance toolkits
12. To assist in the collation, presentation and action planning for the patient experience feedback cards
13. To assist the Quality & Assurance Lead in the development of local procedures to support the quality agenda. To participate in the review of corporate policies as and when required
14. To undertake other duties commensurate with this role
15. To keep updated as to current local and national policy and strategy
16. To work with regard to Circle policies and procedures
Person Specification:
Good interpersonal & communication skills.
Ability to resolve problems
Presentation skills
Good written skills
Persuasive and motivational
High skill level in Microsoft Office
Ability to understand and respond to CQC Regulations and Best Practice standards
Analytical skills, able to develop complex measuring data and processes
Previous experience in governance, complaints, patient experience, risk management or audit
