Job Details

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a DT technician for a school within Stockton On Tees.
Start date January or sooner.

Core responsibilities:

To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people within the School.

Act in a loyal and professional manner around the School and to contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims.
To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Specific Responsibilities to the role:

To be responsible for maintaining resources and systems
To assist in the development of new resources
To support the joint curriculum leaders of Design and Technology with the management of stock control within the department
To prepare and organise materials within the department
To help maintain machinery and equipment
To be responsible for the ordering of materials, tools and teaching resources
To ensure technical support in the Art department when needed
To check and maintain materials and equipment
To maintain an inventory of resources
To tidy store rooms as required
To liaise with ICT technicians as necessary
To order materials, components and consumables
To check orders and deliveries and deal with related paper work

Experience required:

Previous experience as a DT technician would be advantageous

Experience working with young people

Experience managing stock and departmental duties

Experience using computers and data input systems
