As Accounts Administrator, you will be responsible for the legal practice's financial matters and day to day administration. The successful candidate will have an interest in working within solicitors and legal accounts, whilst being able to demonstrate excellent people and communication skills. It's important that you can work on your own or as part of a team as directed, producing work quickly and accurately often within tight timescales. As Accounts Administrator you will possess a positive, can-do attitude and will be looking for a well-established firm in which you can develop and pursue a long-term career. Your role will require you to take responsibility for the legal practice's financial matters, providing support to the finance team and Practice Manager.
Taking responsibility for the legal practice's financial matters
Bank reconciliations and Client ledger postings
TT/Bacs payments and bank transfers
Processing of bills, credit notes and queries
Staff expenses and petty cash
Month end reports
Compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Placing stationery orders and general office supplies ordering
Managing visitors, workmen and maintenance contracts on the building
General admin tasks such as photocopying filing and scanning
Provide support to other departments as and when required; reception, first response, customer serviceAbout You:
Exceptional customer service skills
Administration and accounts experience would be beneficial but is not essential
Experience of working with a CMS (Case management system)
Basic accounts knowledge or an interest in learning accounting principles
Strong attention to detail is essential
A good working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
A team player, who is both organised and self-motivated
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
