Job Details
Protocol Education are currently recruiting PMLD Support workers to support children and young people with varying requirements on a day to day or long term basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or communicative development. A large part of this role is relationship and stability building for the young person, and we are particularly keen to speak to those who have experience supporting students with varying SEN requirements.
Ideal candidates will have experience in:
• Youth Work
• Support work and residential care
• Learning Mentoring
• Prison officers/ tutors
• Police
• Military
• Graduates interested in a career in teaching.
Interested candidates will be invited to an open day on 25/11/2020
The role:
-Support students in your care to complete day to day tasks.
-Ensure all personal care needs are met if necessary/appropriate.
-Follow Care and Education plans set to specific individual requirements.
-Support young people with personal and academic needs.
-Assisting with learning and social skills
-Carrying out interactive activities to help build their knowledge
-Liaise with teaching staff and external parties following care plans
